Compliant with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP)

2. Legal framework
This privacy policy complies with the Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) which came into force on 1 September 2023, as well as the Ordinance on Data Protection (DPO).
For users residing in the European Union, we also comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by extension.
3. Data collected
When creating an account and booking lessons, we collect the following data:
- Identification data : first name, last name, date of birth
- Contact data : email address, phone number, city
- Practice-related data : skating level, disciplines practised, preferred rink, personal goals
- Documents : signed liability waiver, civil liability insurance certificate, medical certificate (where applicable)
- Payment data : amount and date of transactions (full banking data is handled exclusively by Stripe, to which we have no access)
- Biometric data : electronic signature affixed to the waiver
- Usage data : history of booked lessons, reviews given
4. Purposes of processing
Your data is collected for the following purposes:
- Management of your user account
- Processing and confirmation of your bookings
- Invoicing and payment tracking
- Transactional communication (confirmations, reminders, cancellations)
- Improvement of our services and personalisation of your experience
- Compliance with our legal and contractual obligations
5. Sensitive data
In accordance with article 5 of the FADP, the medical certificate and the electronic signature are considered sensitive data. Their processing is based on your explicit consent given at the time of registration.
This data is stored securely and is accessible only to Morgane Renard and to the coach concerned.
6. Legal basis
The processing of your data is based on:
- The performance of the contract between us (booking and delivery of lessons)
- Your consent , explicitly given when creating the account
- Compliance with legal obligations (accounting, invoicing)
7. Subcontractors and hosting
We rely on the following subcontractors to deliver our service:
- Google Firebase (United States), authentication and database
- Google Workspace (United States), calendars and emails
- Stripe (Ireland / United States), payment processing
- Hostinger (Lithuania, EU), site and automation hosting
The transfer of data to countries outside Switzerland / the EU is governed by the standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission and recognised by the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
8. Data retention
- Active account data : throughout the period during which the service is used
- Inactive account data : 3 years after the last login or the last lesson
- Signed waivers and medical documents : 10 years (legal obligations regarding civil liability)
- Invoicing data : 10 years (Swiss accounting requirement)
At the end of these periods, your data is deleted securely.
9. Your rights
In accordance with the FADP, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access : to obtain a copy of your data
- Right to rectification : to correct inaccurate data
- Right to erasure : to request the deletion of your data
- Right to restriction : to restrict the processing of your data
- Right to object : to object to processing for marketing purposes
- Right to portability : to receive your data in a structured format
- Right to withdraw consent at any time
To exercise these rights, write to us at contact@skateconnect.ch. You may also delete your account directly from your personal account.
We undertake to respond to your request within 30 days.
10. Data security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, loss or alteration:
- Encryption of data in transit (HTTPS)
- Strict identity-based access rules
- Hosting on professional infrastructure (Google Cloud, Hostinger)
- Regular and automated backups
- Access limited to authorised personnel only (Morgane Renard, technical support)
11. Cookies
The site uses only cookies that are strictly necessary for its operation (authentication, basket, preferences). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are used.
12. Breach notification
In the event of a personal data breach likely to result in a high risk to your rights, we will inform you as soon as possible and will also notify the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) in accordance with article 24 FADP.
13. Amendments
This policy may be updated to reflect legal or technical developments. The date of the last update is shown at the top of this page. We will notify you by email in the event of a substantial amendment.
